The Henry Ford Health Care System is partnering with the PowerUP event to provide health checks in the following areas:  Vision, Dental, Height & Weight, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, Sickle Cell and much more.  They will also be conducting a knowledgeable workshop on Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Learning How to Cook for Your Health.  Saturday, August 20th from 12:30pm - 5pm.

BACK TO SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES:

The G1 PowerUP event will feature helpful resources for students, parents and educators!!! Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet with College Recruits, Military Recruits, and Trade Schools.  Finally, every registered youth will receive a BOOK BAG WITH BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES.  Saturday August 20th from 12:30pm - 5pm.

BACK TO SCHOOL POWERUP WORKSHOPS:

The G1 PowerUP event will feature empowering and enlightening workshops for students, parents and educators that will be sure to EQUIP you for the 2011/2012 school years.  Friday, August 19th from 12:30pm - 5pm and Saturday, August 20th from 12:30pm - 5pm

ROCK THE STAGE is looking for all talented youth to participate!!! The winner of Rock the Stage will open up and perform live during the Saturday PowerUp Concert.  In order to participate, you must be registered and you must attend the Friday Workshops in order to participate in the audition process on Friday, August 19th @ 3:30pm.  The Rock the Stage event will take place on Saturday, August 20th @ 5pm during the outside Red Carpet affair.

YOUTH LEADERS RECEPTION

The Youth Leaders Reception is inviting all persons working with youth to a special catered event.  This is an opportunity to network and meet others with the same passion to make a difference in the lives of youth.  In order to attend, you must be registered and then call 313.491.8430 to ensure that your name is on the Reception List.  This will take place on Friday August 19th @ 5:30pm.

CITYWIDE YOUTH UNITED

Don't miss this DYNAMIC event featuring speaker, Pastor Irishea Hilliard from Houston, TX and Grammy nominated LECRAE.  This event is inclusive of the $25 weekend registration.  Friday August 19th @ 7pm.
